Both methods are related and works fine in the operating systems: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP.

In fact I have come across a situation where a blogger mistook the process of hiding a folder or file on a computer with the process of making a file or folder invisible. The person might have thought they meant the same thing.

After that, the “Folder options” window will open, in which you will need to open the “View” tab, and in the “Advanced settings” field, activate the “Show hidden files, folders and drives” item. Then click on the “OK” or “Apply” > “OK” button.
